Important News for our Analyzer Customers
Because Analyzer only works properly in legacy versions of FileMaker Pro, we've decided to discontinue the product. The schedule for this is as follows:
- Product Sales ENDED: Sept 1st, 2007
- Product Support Ends: Mar 1st, 2008
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our customers.

- Cross Platform
Analyzer is fully compatible with Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Mac OS 9, so whatever your platform of choice, you'll feel right at home.
- Dependency Tracking
In addition to the details about each element, Analyzer tracks how the elements depend on one another. For instance, when looking at the details of a script, Analyzer also shows you every script that calls it. It is possible to instantly see every place any element is used.
- Comparison Reporting
As your solution evolves, you can "analyze" it more than once. When you do, Analyzer makes it easy to view old and new information about your databases. When you need to see the big picture, Analyzer's Comparison Report fits the bill. It shows all the changes from one version to another in a single report.
- Cost Reporting
Since Analyzer is keeping track of all your changes, it can help you figure out how much to charge your clients too. You simply assign a cost value to each kind of change (you can supply different charges for each solution) and let Analyzer calculate the total. Analyzer will print a nicely formatted cost report complete with change details.
- Problem Dots
Analyzer automatically detects over 20 common FileMaker Pro problems, flagging them with clear
red indicators, and explaining the problem in plain English. Problem Dots appear for all sorts
of problems, including missing fields, missing scripts, missing layouts, and relationships
with non-matching key field types.

- Comprehensive Documentation
Analyzer records every detail of every element in your solution,
from the Validation Options of your fields to the pixel-coordinates
of the buttons on your layouts. You can add multiple notes to any
element to track how it changes over time. If you need documentation,
simply print the element reports. With Analyzer 3.6, you can print a
single report containing all your notes. This report puts all your
functional documentation together in one place.
- Instant Searching
Analyzer's built-in search engine instantly searches for elements that match your
criteria across every database in your solution. You can find every "Show Message"
script step, or every layout named "Layout #1." It's also a breeze to find every
script or field that uses a certain plug-in. When you've found what your looking
for, you can even print a report of the results. If you need to make a change across
your whole solution, it is a life saver to print the report and mark things off as you go.
- Script Tracing
Analyzer makes following scripts easy. Each "Perform Script" step is a hyperlink
-- one click takes you to the script being called. To get the big picture, use the
Script Trace report. It replaces every "Perform Script" with the contents of the
script itself. Instead of clicking to see the script, you
see it right there, nicely indented and color-coded. This report makes understanding
complex scripts dramatically easier.
- List Filtering
If your solution contains many elements, you can type the first few letters of the element name and Analyzer displays the matches instantly.
